Vitamins A, E are Keys Player in Broiler Health and Growth.

A healthy and successful poultry business depends heavily on vitamins and minerals for chickens.Poor or insufficient feeding programs can result in vitamin and mineral deficiencies in poultry, which is one of the main problems with poultry.A lack of adequate vitamins and minerals for chickens can result in a variety of health issues, including in some cases death. Therefore, feeding a balanced poultry diet with the necessary vitamins and minerals should be practiced in order to prevent vitamins and minerals deficits in poultry or when deficient symptoms are noticed.
Even in this day and age of widely used commercial feeds and widespread knowledge that all living things, including humans and animals, occasionally require vitamins, there is still the occasional bird or small flock that requires additional assistance.

How can vitamins (A , E) support poultry development?

Vitamin A plays a crucial role in the overall health and well-being of poultry. It is an essential nutrient that has various functions in their physiological processes.

Firstly, vitamin A is crucial for maintaining optimal vision in poultry. It helps in the development and maintenance of the visual system, ensuring clear eyesight and preventing potential eye disorders.

Furthermore, vitamin A plays a vital role in promoting the growth and development of poultry. It is involved in protein synthesis and cell differentiation, which are necessary for proper growth and the formation of tissues and organs. This vitamin also aids in bone development, ensuring strong and healthy skeletal structure in poultry.

Vitamin E supplementation is a practical solution for the chicken industry to lessen the negative effects of high temperatures. According to certain research, broilers may have a possible antioxidant impact that can control inflammatory reactions and physiological changes to lessen the negative consequences of high temperature exposure. Additionally, it has been discovered that higher immune system activity results in increased animal survivability and improved animal product quality due to tissue deposition, which results in the nutritional enrichment of meat products.

Moreover, vitamin A,E are crucial for reproductive functions in poultry. It is involved in the development and maturation of reproductive organs, supporting optimal fertility and ensuring successful reproduction.

Lastly, vitamin A,E play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of poultry’s skin and feathers. It helps in the production of sebum, improving the moisture balance and preventing dryness or flakiness of the skin and feathers.

Immunomodulation Efeect Of Vit (E,A)

The innate and adaptive immune systems’ cells work differently when there is a vitamin A shortage. For instance, it has been demonstrated that peritoneal macrophages and polymorphonuclear leukocytes’ phagocytic and intracellular bactericidal capabilities are diminished in rats with vitamin A deficiency.
Epithelial cell differentiation and mucosal immune modulation both benefit from vitamin A. The identification of genes encoding retinaldehyde dehydrogenase isoforms in DC within mammalian mesenteric lymph nodes and Peyer’s patches showed the involvement of vitamin A in mucosal immunity . The aldehyde dehydrogenase family of proteins includes retinaldehyde dehydrogenase, which catalyzes the creation of RA from retinaldehyde. Vitamin A deficiency in hens has been linked to morphometric alterations, severe immune system dysfunction, and compromised mucosal integrity, which increases susceptibility to infections.
The biological activities of vitamin E depend on the level of cellular free radical production and the status of cellular antioxidants. Thus, the ratio between free radicals and total antioxidants in cells determines the signal transduction events generated. Theoretically, there is a certain ratio between free radicals and total antioxidants within which optimum signal transduction and immunoregulatory gene expression can occur to ensure ideal immune response. Deviation from this ratio, by alteration of either free radical production or the level of cellular antioxidants, will impair optimum cellular signal transduction and therefore, will not provide ideal immunocompetence.
